Yes friends, you can do yoga on a paddle board without falling in the freezing water!!!
Picture this...you're out in the middle of the Puget Sound, laying supine, eyes closed, gentle waves rocking underneath you, smelling the salty sea air and hearing the gentle lapping of water against your board.  Can we say utter relaxation?
Join Hasna for an incredible stand up paddle board yoga experience and let your senses take over!

Abby brings the epic act to the shores of the Sound
Poi
I heart Seattle Summers.  Ballard had the most epic sunset this evening and the experience at Golden Gardens was highly intensified by Abby and Tony breaking out their beautiful fire sticks, poi and wands.  The pair made the night of every man, woman and child with a camera at the beach.  After being treated to a mystic show intermixing dance, danger and optical illusion, I biked home in complete bliss, mesmerized by the tranquility and peace of my thoughts in this beautiful nature.

For those of you unsure of the meaning of Poi, it is a traditional Maori  (the indigenous people of New Zealand) exercise using balls attached to flax strings to improve coordination and increase strength in the wrists and hands.  A great website to check out is www.homeofpoi.com for more information.

Andrew
From surfing, stand up paddleboarding and yoga on the water, Washington Surf Academy has your bases covered when it comes to playing in and around the Puget Sound.  Andrew Drake opened shop in Shilshole Bay after being a competitive surfer and instructor for decades.  His classes, private and group, offer students a chance to experience the Puget Sound in a variety of ways, whether doing a downward dog on a paddleboard through their Paddleboard Yoga program, peacefully paddling to the Lighthouse at Discovery Park on a stand up board or surfing the delightfully chilly PNW coast.  Although partially difficult to balance at first, eventually you become accustomed to being on the board and it's smooth sailing from there! I saw a bald eagle, harbor seal and a trap full of giant crabs.  Oh, and FYI, the white jellyfish you see won't try climbing up on your board, so don't be afraid! Call the Academy today for a lesson or class at 206-387-9054!
