Abby brings the epic act to the shores of the Sound
I heart Seattle Summers. Ballard had the most epic sunset this evening and the experience at Golden Gardens was highly intensified by Abby and Tony breaking out their beautiful fire sticks, poi and wands. The pair made the night of every man, woman and child with a camera at the beach. After being treated to a mystic show intermixing dance, danger and optical illusion, I biked home in complete bliss, mesmerized by the tranquility and peace of my thoughts in this beautiful nature.
For those of you unsure of the meaning of Poi, it is a traditional Maori (the indigenous people of New Zealand) exercise using balls attached to flax strings to improve coordination and increase strength in the wrists and hands. A great website to check out is www.homeofpoi.com
