The Last Mountain is a documentary by Bill Haney about mountaintop removal in Appalacian Country, specifically the removal and destruction of mountains for their natural coal resources in West Virginia including Coal River Mountain.  The film follows a variety of activists including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, environmental advocate and president  of Waterkeeper Alliance.  Just think of how many jobs you could create and how the local economy of currently poor communities and states would prosper if we simply acted like Ontario, Canada and removed our dependence on coal and other "dirty" energy by 2014 and instead replaced it with clean energy such as wind turbines.  Did you know that if Massey Energy in WV was replaced by a company generating wind power, the community would not only benefit by receiving around 1.5 million dollars per year infinitely as opposed to a measly 36k for only 17 years; gain approximately 28% more stable jobs than the contract temporary work of mountaintop removal, and support and sustain a healthy environment.  For more information and to actively help save this beautiful Appalacian ecosystem, please visit www.ilovemountains.org
