Class #3 Climbing Movement Series
Aside from stemming dihedrals, I believe that manteling is one of my favorite things to do. We learned how to transfer our weight to pull/push ourselves up the wall while wasting as little energy as possible using your arm strength. We also learned the difference between high climbing with less footholds and technical climbing with lots of little footholds, keeping "quiet" on the wall. I stemmed and manteled my way up a made-up V4 dihedral route then capped it off with a gorgeous V1 45 degree finish (harder than it sounds! Used 3 heel hooks!) Can't wait until class #4!
